MEET KELLY MADZEY

For nearly 18 years, I have served the people of our community as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, dedicating my career to upholding the rule of law and seeking justice with integrity and fairness. Before becoming a prosecutor, I worked as a staff attorney for the Twelfth District Court of Appeals, where I gained invaluable insight into the appellate process and the importance of clear, well-reasoned judicial decisions.

During my time with the Prosecutor’s Office, I have handled cases across nearly every division, including the Appellate, Juvenile, Grand Jury / Intake, and Felony Trial divisions. I spent two years assigned to the Child Abuse Bureau at CARE House, prosecuting violent offenses against children, and then another three years supervising that division. I have held multiple leadership roles, including supervising several divisions, and served as Chief of our Juvenile Division for three years. I am currently assigned to our Violent Crimes Bureau, where I oversee the prosecution of homicide cases. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the law, the courtroom, and the profound impact judicial decisions have on victims, families, and our community as a whole.

Throughout my career, I have built a reputation for thorough preparation, steady judgment, and principled leadership. I am running for Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge because I believe the courtroom requires experience, impartiality, and a commitment to treating every person with dignity and respect. I am a strong believer in the role courts play in ensuring fairness, stability, and confidence in our judicial system. I will bring to the bench the same work ethic, fairness, and dedication to justice that have guided my entire legal career.
